More or less by accident I remembered this historic moment slightly after the policial change in GDR, when former Ministry of State Security (Staatssicherheit) boss Erich Mielke tells the deputies of the East German parliament (Volkskammer), that his ministry is in a good contact with the people.
One of the deputies tells Mr. Mielke, not to call the deputies „comrades“ („Genossen“, meaning the members of SED), because there are some deputies, who are not his party comrades. Mielke replies: „But I love all people. I love all. And I care for.“ What a tragic-comical word out of the mouth of the supreme intelligence leader of „socialist“ Eastern Germany…
